Notes About the Video

IOSYS OS is a notorious Japanese website that sells music albums - err... FAN music albums. All or most of their tracks are taken from other media - anime or video game - and re-arranged and remixed with their own vocals and lyrics.

Their most popular arrangements are from danmaku/curtain-fire-shooter game series known as Touhou. However, they branch out and hit other media, and in this case, they hit up Etrian Odyssey!

While their forte is music, they ALSO pick certain lucky tracks and make flash videos to them! THAT is how we got the all so popular Encounter with a Foe flash video and music.

Unfortunately for us english-speaking types, though, the lyrics and videos are in Japanese. BUT there are certain fans out there who are gifted and translate them for us. That is why you are here. Lyric translations for the video.

This particular translation I took off of a profile - currently without her permission. However, since I have met Dracil in the Touhou community, I doubt she'll really mind. So, thank Dracil and enjoy her translation!

Note: Both the videos linked to in the translations are (not surprisingly) references to the Touhou games I mentioned before. "Marisa" is IOSYS's most popular flash video. "Eirin" is by another group and is a rearrangment of Touhou music - but shouting "Eirin! Eirin! Tasukete Eirin!" has become a fan favorite, that even made it into FOE.
