Going below the standard 5 man parties

I remember in my play though of EO3 that having smaller parties was feasible, especially with ninjas, but in EO4, such slot filling skills are gone, are 5 man parties absolutely mandatory now for a play through from start to finish or can smaller parties work with a little extra grinding?

Re: Been debating/discussing this: New EO game ideas

In all honesty, I'm kinda torn between the mono multi tier labyrinth and EO4's split up setup. EO1-3 had really consistent but large floor setups, but often it felt strange as I kept progressing downward how each stratum was tied together. in EO4, the dungeon variety is humongous. but at a cost had ...

Re: Balancing Link based team building and support (early ga

Understandable. I don't think the Runemaster does too well as far as activating Link Skills, but I certainly understand the need for somebody who can handle larger groups of enemies. The problem with Linking is it's most effective on single, large enemies so mobs can very easily overwhelm you. If y...

Re: Balancing Link based team building and support (early ga

Honestly, a Dancer sounds like it would fit your needs perfectly. Put her on the front line, between your Linksknecht and Medic. Her waltzes should keep them in pretty good shape, so the Medic can focus more on keeping the back line together and dealing some damage. Once you hit LV20, you get acces...

Balancing Link based team building and support (early game)

Hey folks, figured ITL would be the best place to ask stuff like this like always. I've been working on trying to decide a good team composition to make sure I can link frequently and often without the need of the unlockable classes. So far I thought about dedicated 3/5ths of my team to link attacki...

Re: EOIII Rantage!

Yes and no about the mortal hunter being easy. Yes, there are strategies that easily kill the Mortal Hunter, namely Sarutobi + Otori/Proboke. The other strategy is to bring Death Magatamas into the labyrinth with you and put them on before you face them, then re-equip you're other stuff once you're...

Re: EOIII Rantage!

I actually cleared that section my first time around without gaurd soles, hell, I had no idea guard soles removed the speed penalty from mud/slush tiles. I only thought they nullified damage tiles.

as for the puzzle rooms with mortal hunters, I just brute forced my way through, they are total jokes.

Re: EOIII Rantage!

I just looked at my activity log on my 3DS, 200 hours in less then 3 months of play. I guess my warrior might team could use a break... haha...

Re: Hope Rides Alone

Hm. The Smallest team I was able to handle was Hoplite (Provoke + Recuperate) and Wildling (Call Insect & Ooze), I was able to play that to the second stratum before I got bored and restarted. I heard of someone doing a solo Wildling Run, but I'm no good at low # team building. The First Sea Bo...

Re: Quests

@ Emerin:

To clarify on said quest, said tanyin meat is smoked, then dried out for preservation, like beef jerky.
oh and I forgot, your reward is about 1/4's of the produced product, great for long trips :P

Hope Rides Alone

For while I've seen tons of outstanding builds utilizing team setups, but for my second play through, siding with armaroad, I feel tempted to see if I can solo the entire storyline without abusing king penguin's rng manipulation for grinding. basically taking a fresh level one and leveling him like ...
