Re: Yggdroid: Worth it?
personally, i treat retiring different based on purpose... but then, i've played games like Wizardry 6 & 7, which made multiclassing available but at a cost- you reset your stats to the bare minimum required, level drops to 1, but keep all previous skills!! SOOooo when I am retiring to get the b...

Re: EOIII Rantage!
LOLOLOL! but sadly I'm a hoarder, i barely use any items at all (except warp wire.... >.> like popcorn in a popcorn factory those things should be). So prevent order is my typical 2nd turn in a serious battle, after bunshin. and in the meantime the monk has use protect order. RT sees a lot less use ...

Re: EOIII Rantage!
Shin having pretty much full party status effect attacks, and most later bosses have an all-party status effect (or binds, GRRR!), it makes for an easier fight. Plus since you get your TP back for it ending that round, its just fuel to the fire, especially if you max it out so it costs very little i...

Re: EOIII Rantage!
long time Princess/Ninja user here. Bunshin= full party buffs from prince/ss set after 1 turn, and thanks to passives, makes it easier to get SP back as well. also makes using some limits easier since you can use 1 less person on the prince/ss' limit. and yes, full party Prevent Order seems to be al...

Re: Waveform's Etrian Odyssey III Skill Calculator for Windo
Linux as well here! http://www.intothelabyrinth.net/etriano ... /skillsim/ is my main source for EO3 anyways, so i don't see any use for an actual program, since i'm usually reviewing on the go ^^

Re: EOIII Questions thread
I'm not that far in the game, so I obviously don't know, but my GUESS is a combination of each of the damage types they would have done seperately. But hey, we all know how well guesses and Etrian Odyssey mix. =| For example, the game might generate a seperate attack for each bot type and just sums...

if you have a zodiac with singularity, it'll make an activation sound, and its not just on elements, their weapons will reveal weaknesses too.

Re: EOIII Questions thread
Oh, sweet, thanks. I really need to take better notes of what enemies do in battle. =/ If Speed is the lifeblood of battle, then knowledge is your sword and shield. Even similar enemies can do wildly different things, but you have to experience it first, haha. Take your beatings and save often. and...

Re: EOII Rantage!
Blindsides are the worst in EOII. They were bad in EOI but never THIS bad. Hell, the 4th strata is mostly made up of enemies who take advantage of blindsides. Pretaloids, Venombugs and Big Moths! Oh my! /Blindside in EOIII: [me, even against a non FOE but stronger enemy] Meh, i'll get them next tur...

Re: Rate my team?
And I'm not getting rid of the Farmer, guys. She makes it so I don't have to grind as much. But a party level too low, no matter how good you run them, will still die. Bad Wolf! but yeah, they'll NEVER take the place of a damage dealer, status inflicter (until muuuch later in the game), healer in c...

Re: EOIII Questions thread
ill throw my hat in by saying that the center of a row also has a higher chance of being targeted- having a party of 5 farmers, my middle farmer was hit 1st every single time everyone was at full health, with the regular small occurance of someone in the back row getting hit, but! Only the center fa...

Re: Today I start EO II
And then you realize that early on nectars DEVOUR your money supply. You get quite a few from chest, so just remember to bring your warp wire every time, because once one person falls the rest of the team will fall soon after. DEAR GOD!!! ALWAYS!!! AAALLLWAAAAYYYYSSSS bring extra warp wires. those ...

Buena Suerte!
If you hadn't already noticed, War Magus (sword focus) goes very very well with Hexer, good choices. Only downside is only Medics get revive....... (yay nectars!)

Re: Rate my team?
Supremely defensive team, it seems... might want to throw the princess or monk into the back row to let the wildling's summons deal better damage (and keep the princess from harm for her free healing every turn!). Farmers, while most people disagree, are quite useful, but definitely not on the damag...
