Well, Luck in Earthbound, if I remember correctly, increased your chance of surviving a fatal blow with 1 HP. It did something else, but I forget. You mean Guts? You have to have a lot of Gut in order to survive some of those insane attacks in Earthbound. Though I don't think it had a luck stat.

Beats me if I know what LUC does, after all, it's luck. If there's anything for sure in RPGs, luck is one of the most random stats ever, it can pretty much effect anything short of actual HP.
