Got the game on Wednesday and oh boy, is it just me or is it tough as bone especially in the beginning (playing on Heroic, but still)? Started my aforementioned Link party which is slowly doing better (eats TP like chocolate).
Currently at the end of the 3rd labyrinth.

No copy yet, but theorycrafting with the calc is still fun. Once again, I decided to go for a chase/link setup. Right now it's: - Landsknecht/? Uses Links of course. Maybe Ronin with Drawing Stance + passives as subclass? - Protector/Highlander Shielding their allies while retaliating for some Links...

Now in the 4th stratum. My party is doing great (retired at lvl 30 and recreated pretty much the same as before)! Because of a dialogue with the bar owner and an enemy type in 16F I think can already tell what the boss will be this time. :S Speaking of bosses - the 3rd stratum boss was... kind of a ...

Today, I discovered one can have both a hawk and a hound out with one Rover. That means... I can bind everything now! <3

Reached 10F today, but didn't explore yet!
My Chaining-Party is doing surprisingly well. Food and ailment/bind inflicting items help a lot, though.

Got my copy today, but had only an hour to play because of work...

Anyway! My team, which I also played in the demo (didn't carry over any demo save, tho):

Dragoon/Fencer
Warlock/Rover/Shaman

Aiming for a chain party. Hopefully, binds and ailments won't be THAT important for the time being...

Alright, for now, I think I'll go for
Dragoon (especially Counter Guard) / Fencer (Chaining)
Rover (Hawk) / Warlock (Clever Strike, Mana Flow) / Shaman (Dance Oracle, Passive Healing)

Tested it in the demo and seems to be pretty viable early game, at least.

Just ordered the game from Amazon. It'll be mine next week! Gotta do some more theorycrafting, tho. Is chaining worth it in EO5?
