Re: Games you are playing

Soma A bit overrated, but good! It's a survival horror game and a thought experiment about what it means to be a person and what it means to be human. Avoiding the big monsters was stressful but less scary than the story itself, which is the game's strong point. Would have been better with more puz...

Re: Paper Mario

I have very fond memories of The Thousand Year Door ! I think I was the first RPG I liked and finished; original, smart, quirky and the first Mario game in which I actually cared about the characters. In fact they were really good characters. I also liked the Wii episode and how experimental it was,...

Re: Games you are playing

I'm also playing Ocarina of Time (Master Quest) on the 3DS again, since I haven't played in a few years it's really a challenge again, but still nostalgic and I'm having a blast! I haven't played the 3DS version, but Ocarina of Time is the game I've replayed to the most (original and the Gamecube M...

Re: Discussion Thread II: Bots? What bots?

They both sound amazing. I'm not familiar with vanilla powder, but now I want to be. I also prefer dark chocolate chunks better than regular chocolate! Dark chocolate is just the best. The vanilla is optional, it's in the original recipe but I've made them without it and they turned out just fine! ...

Re: Pet Thread

My parents adopted a young black cat last summer, but he makes me jump and scream when he darts from one place to another — I can't help it, whenever I see someone or something make sudden moves like that I'm scared..!

He has beautiful fur though. Mostly black but a little bit grey/silvery in places.

Re: Discussion Thread II: Bots? What bots?

It's crazy how back in 2012 everyone laughed at the idea of the Mayan apocalypse, and only 7 years later people are seriously envisaging the imminent collapse of our civilisation.

Definitely interesting times we live in, but they're stressful.

On the plus side, I made cookies.

Re: Games you are playing

I finally bought a PC! And a bunch of games on sale this summer, which should last me for a while. (Most of them indie/adventure stuff.) The Stanley Parable was cool. Not as revolutionary as I had heard — going meta is a common trick nowadays, and other works have impressed with more by their meta-n...

Re: Games you are playing

I only played one game of Star Realms but I liked it, I'll gladly play another one when I have the chance! Bang! takes me back, I played quite a few rounds of it when I was a teenager — simple but definitely fun (especially if you're with players who like to put on a show when playing). The expansio...

Re: Games you are playing

Same, I play more board games than video games these days, my collection is growing. I have Spirit Island coming in the next few days, and Hellboy: The Board Game coming in March. I have a few other big ones, but have much more success getting smaller, quicker games to the table more often with my ...

Re: Games you are playing

I used to play Smash Bros. a lot in the Gamecube days! Samus (in purple), good old Yoshi… or the Ice Climbers (in raspberry/white, with Nana as the leader) because I never shook the habit of picking characters based on their looks. Nobody else ever picked the Ice Climbers, and I completely understan...

Re: Games you are playing

I thought I'd try Pokémon X or Y since a friend of mine has a cartridge, but there's only one save file so… I'll keep on playing Shin Megami Tensei games instead. ✿ I finished Avalon Code recently, it was good! Being able to scan and modify everything is a cool idea, and the fact that every room of...

Re: Discussion Thread II: Bots? What bots?

How is everyone's December Like usual: November went by in a flash and December feels like a constant rush. But I'm done with the gift shopping and I have christmas cookies! I went to Freiburg im Breisgau, it's a beautiful city. And my brother spent two and a half days in St Petersburg with his gir...
