Most items on that site are homebrew, I think. And looking at some of the prestige classes, I think that starting as a warrior and working my way up to getting the Gray Guard(http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/prc/20070320), but I might also go with just a rogue to a ninja type path. I don't see why a rogue apprentice is problematic. There is no such thing as an invalid concept. A few questions about the books you find that increase stat points for anyone that may know the answers. The [hide]Luck book[/hide] you can get from the [hide]Raging Hippo[/hide]. The Rogue would be called a Striker and there is a Swordmage that is called a Defender.
