Perhaps it was worded a little too strongly, but seriously: there is a vast pool of comedy-gold life experiences without having to drag genitalia and other body parts into it. What I mean to suggest is that the teller is too narrow-minded and/or too young to think of those things, thus relies only on the most obvious and most disgusting.

^_^;; Let's not condone breaking down a 3DS even for something as innocent as this. I'm sure there are a few dozen rules against it. Granted it's not a cheating device, but... still...

No. Cheating isn't the problem. And I don't really have a rule for it (and I don't really want to make one), I just don't think that I can condone a conversation about altering a gaming product or device beyond what the manufacturer intended. Don't I have enough rules about illegal software <_< to give you guys the hint about illegal hardware, too?

Like I said, this kinda falls under a gray area since it's JUST a recording device. Still. I can't in good conscience let this conversation go without saying something about it.

I am not familiar with American laws, so I can be very wrong.
But my understand tells me that
1. does that organization have any right and power outside the US?
2. 3DS is not a US-only machine - what if I own a, say, JP or HK version of the machine?
3. I brought the machine, so it should be my right to mess with my property (other than reverse engineering and perhaps make profit out of it or make the company worse off). For instance, when I buy my MacBook, I know I should not open it without authorise otherwise warranty would likely be void. But if I am willing to give that up, why not (which is necessary to replace some of the hardware)?
