Threads not being marked as read

For the past few days I've been having trouble with some threads not being marked as read after I've looked at them. When I refresh the section or forum overview, they still show up as having new posts.

Clicking the 'Mark all as read' link at the bottom of the section usually fixes it, but that only works until the next post in there.
I've tried logging out and back in again, but that didn't help.

Any idea what's going on here, and how to fix things?

Archaic has talked about this before as being an error in your cookies. A glitch of some sort. Simply delete the cookie for ItL and see if this corrects the problem.
