Problems writing a post larger than the textbox

Whenever I write a post longer than the textbox, the box's scroll bar scrolls back to the top and stays there. Whenever I scroll back down it will stay down(with my mouse, arrow keys make it go down but it pops straight back up again), but as soon as I change anything, or try to highlight text it scrolls back to the top. However this only happens with a full blown reply, it works fine with quick replies. This is very frustrating, because I keep having to type any long post in Word, then copy/paste it back over. This happens in both IE8 and Firefox 3.6.8.

Hmm, that's never happened with me, and I've been on this site with most popular browsers...

And this happens with the quick reply box as well as the full "post reply" page box?

No, it's fine with the quick reply box, although if I type my message in the quick reply box, then hit preview to go to the regular reply box it still happens.

I remember having an issue similar to this a couple of years ago when I was using Safari at my school, but it was only localized to some specific computers and I wondered if plugins or something else was affecting it. Those computers, however, did it for both the quick reply and the post reply. Also, it was not just my site but other text boxes in other areas.

Nevertheless, could you please tell me your browser and I can attempt to look into it.

Ok, thanks. It doesn't happen with textboxes on any other site, just this one. I use IE8 with no Plug-ins or add-ons, and Firefox 3.6.8 (Default Theme) with:

Then it can't be a browser problem but a computer specific problem, maybe? What OS are you using?

OK, I'm going to do my best to look into this. I can't promise anything. Worse case scenario I could attempt to make the post reply box larger to help accommodate. It's so frustrating that I can't reproduce this problem.

If it's at all possible, is there some way you can send me a screenshot of the problem in action? Just to be sure. If not, that's fine. I'll do my best to look up a solution.

I've had stuff like this happen on other sites, but usually just refreshing the page would work. Unless it was the wonky PS3 browser or something
