Think it would be possible to make an ItL radio (with GNU, etc.)?

maybe we could play songs from EO, EOII, or any other compositions by .

Even I, with my minimal knowledge of GNU, PHP, and LAME, could help with setting it up.

Any thoughts?

*Looks around for Archaic* He's the one you'd want to talk to to get this sorta thing set up as I THINK he has some experience for it. Me, I've never even listened to a net-radio like this and really don't even have a clue of what goes in to setting it up. I DO know, though, that these things are usually popular.

We're not on a dedicated server, we're on a shared server so radio ideas such as Shoutcast and alike are out of the question unfortunately. Further, if we were to do such as thing on this shared hosting server we'd probably get shut down as it'd be a drain on the servers resources

However, there are a lot of Shoutcast servers out there that are normally fairly reasonable in terms of price, so we could always go down that route...

We're thinking about it still. ^_^; It might mean that we'll have to place some google ads here and there to pay for the extra server, but don't worry, the two of us are still discussing it.

I actually have never listened to an internet radio and I wouldn't know the first thing about this stuff. ^_^; I didn't even know what a podcast was until about a year ago when Ian tried to invite me to do one with him for a Zelda podcast website he was thinking about. :\ I turned him down (I don't even have a mic). Hell, I've only really recently discovered the wonders of youtube. I'm just not real savvy with all this stuff.

That being said, though, now that Ian's explained what a "ItL radio" would be. It sounds very interesting!
