I prefer SnS mostly for utility and mobility, being able to block of course, but mainly the ability to use items without sheathing the weapon is extremely useful, being able to place a small barrel bomb at the end of my combo is fun.

This is, of course on the rare occasion that I actually roll blademaster, as I much prefer gunner, I roll Bow a lot, but I actually prefer heavy bowgun, it's just that managing ammunition can be a pain in the ass sometimes, and gets rather expensive or time consuming.

I really should give light bowgun another try.

As my human thief starts to get close to the end of his story, I find myself once more thinking of where to take my alts.

Those who know me on Steam probably already know I'm playing Dragon Age: Origins. My first time playing actually! My Warden is of course, a Mage, laying waste to the weak with Mass Paralyze, Blood Wound, Cone of Cold and of course, Fireball.

Also replaying Wizardry 8 for the kajillionth time. Going to try beating the game without a specialized caster (Including Bishop), only hybrids. I can imagine early game is going to quite a hurdle since I won't be able to get the more powerful spells like Haste, Superman or Freeze All until much later. Also the hybrid classes are terribad early game, except maybe Monks and Rangers. I'm not using a Ranger though, my Alchemy hybrid is a Ninja with a Bo stick. Wish there was a turtle race...

So, Dark Arisen... when it comes out, will I have to buy a whole new copy or will it be a DLC that will patch the game? This is gonna affect how much money I need to spend. XP

It's essentially an expansion with patches, from what I've read. I still don't see how it warrants a rerelease. : / Still, at least it's not as expensive. 100,000 Rift Crystals really is not much--I tend to make more than enough on my own.

Honestly, the only saving grace this game will have is that I love the game. XD

^ It's an Alpha Turbo Tag Edition. Btw, RC buys much more stuff in Dark Arisen.

As an old player, you never have to find Fournival to stock Ferrystones again.

I never used Fournival. I always got my Ferrystones from the Counterfeit guy. More reliable.

^ More expensive. And now you don't need the Black Cat for stones, either. Nor the storage.
