Re: Super Smash Bros.
I still wish for someone from SquareEnix, but ueeeeeh, I've been doubting it ever since I started wishing for it. Plus, they seem to be more about Playstation now a days anyway.

Re: Super Smash Bros.
My hopes for SE rep are mainly for either Crono or Chocobo/Moogle. I mean... Geno is okay too, I guess. He's not my main wish anymore though. -.-
I've just been through my tumblr dashboard. Pretty much every single person that I follow that are into Mega Man was screaming "SUPER FIGHTING ROBOT" from the Ruby-Spears cartoon. I was so confused, until I found the source and oh my god did I cry:

Re: Super Smash Bros.
I was really against the idea of including Pac-Man in Smash Bros, but after rewinding the video quite a few times, he might be pretty fun to play as.

Re: Super Smash Bros.
Just got back from some solid time with the demo.
Goodness gracious.
I came in with low expectations, but that was really bad. I know it was just a demo build that they had probably redied in like April or May, but the product will require serious revision for this to be fun.
And for the record, it's not even like I was expected a Melee 2.0. I wouldn't even say Melee is my favourite entry in the series, since I am a huge proponent of the 64 version.
It feels like Brawl with HD graphics, fewer bugs, and about 25% more speed. Hitstun is there, but there is so much hitlag on almost all of the attacks that the initiator can't capitalize on it. I'm not expecting 0% to death combos in less of an hour of gameplay, but it just feels bad to have an engine that has no sense of momentum.
If they work really hard on it between now and October, it might at least pass as a party game.

Did you try any of the newcomers besides Rosalina?

SUPAH FIGHIAN ROBUTT.
I'm pretty excited about Smash. Not Brawl levels of excited (that is: Hyping the game so much there's no way it can live up to it), but cautiously optimistic. Villager looks like fun to play as, as do all of the newcomers.

I'm feeling a lot better than from my past outburst. Here's wjy:
1) The demo build they used was compiled back in March.
2) All 16 competitive players were encouraged to forward their feedback directly to the developer
3) Treehouse staff was present at the Smash setup at e3 with pen and notepad in hand. They recognize that overall, people are just afraid to attack and this game isn't offensive enough.
Of course I don't think it has be like Melee to be a good game, but I will agree that 64, Melee and PM are all much more offence-oriented games. It just makes for more fun and exciting gameplay.
