If the DS had even 10 more seconds of battery life, it would have most likely shut off as you were saving (which takes WAY too long, and can actually be sped up w/an emulator, btw), which would have corrupted your save data. Just saying.

well at least I got the coins again. Am now walking around with a Dratini. At this point of the game, Dragon Rage OHKOs, like, everything.

I gave my Togepi an expensive haircut or massage or something, I guess it loved me enough to evolve. So then I had two normal/flying types (Togetic and Hoothoot)

I was holding on to Hoothoot because I'd figured he would learn a bunch of psychic attacks, but he really doesn't. Togepi, however, knew Extrasensory as soon as I hatched him from the egg.

Ok. You missed the period of school life where you would have been beaten up for not having Pokemon Red/Blue.

My first pokemon game was when I was like... 7-8? Whenever Sapphire came out, though my older brother did have Blue when it was first released. My brother and I split who gets what version, and when the third version comes out, we both get a copy.

Me: Sapphire, Emerald, LeafGreen, Pearl, Platinum, SoulSilver
Twin: Ruby, Emerald, FireRed, Diamond, Platinum, HeartGold
Shared: Blue, Crystal

And I got Ice Beam from Voltorb Flip the first time I visited and instantly taught it to my slowpoke. I was proud regardless of the hours it took to get there, then I got 2100 more coins to get a dratini as well, and as noodles said, owned EVERYTHING for a while.

I've still got another 6 years before I hit that milestone. Still hard to believe uni wasn't just yesterday sometimes though, despite the fact I've been in the wicked world of work for a few years now.

Cripes, I've turned into a whining old man before I'm even 25. It doesn't bode well for my actual mid-life crisis.

I'm still playing Shin Megami Tensei if...
Yesterday afternoon I made it to the third Nomos, which means I'm roughly half way through the game. Also, I had a ton of macca so I traded it in for coins at the casino in Tapet Town, then I used those coins to buy shourenno ken, kyuukino kote, and kyuukino gusoku for both Tamaki and Akira. So now they are pretty godly in battle.

I managed to get Hakaishin Chernobog and Majin Belobog, so when I hit level 82 I can fuse them together to make Maou Angra Mainyu. He's the second strongest Maou race demon in the game (Maou Lucifer is the strongest), so I'm pretty happy about that.
