Ah, but I think (not sure) that Maxine finds it more intriguing when a game puts you in the place of the character, giving you little back-story, and having you unravel the story as if you were the one with amnesia. I feel that Baroque pulls this off quite nicely, though at the same time, it can be quite confusing, as you don't really know what you have to do to advance the plot. You are only given hints on what you must do.
EDIT: ACK! I forgot this place doesn't use HTML. <.<;

Okay. Current list:
Baroque (Wii)
Rune Factory (DS)
Animal Crossing: Wild World (DS) (Haven't really played much recently)
Pokemon Diamond (DS)
Pokemon Pearl (DS)
Shin Megami Tensei II (SNES...ROM) (<.< Haven't played in like...a month)
Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War (SNES ROM) (Haven't played in six months, but I'm almost done with my "legal" playthrough (Even though ROMs are NEVER legal. >,>; (legal meaning nothing in the game was changed))
Baroque's the main one right now, though. =D
