Re: A Link to the Past 2
I've always preferred 2d sprites and it amazes me that companies don't attempt to do more with them. ^_^ Could you imagine a FF6-like game with these fantastic spell animations done in sprites! I dunno, in my head I see some SERIOUS potential.
And seriously...

This game was nothing but beautiful. THIS to me is a good representation of what it could be like, if not better.

You don't see sprites as often anymore because making high-resolution sprites is expensive.

So.... did ANYONE get this game? I'm dying to hear some actual honest reviews on it.

Re: A Link to the Past 2
I'm not very far into it, like sub two hours, but loving it so far. It's set a few hundred years after ALttP, but the main map is the same and the character art is great. Zelda is super cute and happy looking too.

I'm playing OoT 3D but it isn't scratching the itch. :(

Re: A Link to the Past 2
I should be getting it today... Like an hour before work ;_;
I don't have a GameStop near enough to my house to have preordered it there and been able to pick it up. And the smaller game store that I used to work at is HORRIBLE with pre-orders. It's their shipper's fault, but still doesn't make getting games three weeks late any better- and they don't have many, if any, preorder bonuses. The bigger retailer department store also doesn't allow for paying off in segments, and you actually pay more to put your copy 'on hold' for you for 72 hours. Otherwise it goes out on the floor and someone buys it and they get to keep your cash.
Soooo... I had it shipped, and I want it so bad. Hopefully I get off early enough to dive headfirst into it and give a proper mini-review thingy.

Beat it yesturday! Was so good ;w;. Now I just gotta get those Miyami things, the heart containers, and somewhere along the line I missed a master ore. Such a good game, though. It contends for my favorite Zelda, for sure. The only issue it's not is because the bosses felt fulfilling most of the time >.>.
