Because Gamefreak doesn't know how to optimize an engine.

Re: A Link to the Past 2
So what I've gleaned: it's an amazing game, but, like all Zelda problems: too easy and FAR FAR too short.
... with a $40 price tag I'm not sure that it's worth my money with those two problems.
Considering this, I am going to avoid placing this title on m Xmas list and ask for Mario Kart 7 or even FF: Theaterrhythm which is not a game I would ever spend my money on but is one of those titles I keep wanting to try out and has the lower price tag...
I'll wait and see if maybe in the future the game goes on sale or I can find it at a discounted price or maybe when money is less tight.
Damn, SMT IV was the same price and it has consumed HOURS for me. I do not appreciate a game these days that is -40 hours. A $1+ per hour? No. It's no longer acceptable to me.

Re: A Link to the Past 2
Considering that you should know by now that I hosted a Zelda website since 1999 all the way up until 2009, and that Archaic also has his own Zelda site, and that I'm close friends with Lysia the current webmaster of Zelda Universe, I seriously HOPE that was sarcastic.
Zelda will always be my passion, but when I consider the fact that I got Persona3 for $30 and have thrown in like 300+ gaming hours... purchasing a Zelda game that I'm only going to throw in 40 hours if I'm lucky...
When money's tight sometimes the passions have to be set aside.

Re: A Link to the Past 2
It's definitely a step up in terms of difficulty from TP or Skyward Swords. Huge step up. Not the same as ALttP days but in the right direction. I'm disappointed by mr renty who I can't remember the name of as he makes it too easy.
Still not finished it as I've been ill for weeks but on top of that, I limit myself to one dungeon a night to stretch it out.
Far too short, but a lot of people don't like longer Zelda games...
