Companies we want to hate, but don't

If I were to pick one off the top of my head it would be Kyoto Ani. If it were for their work with K-On and Haruhi then it might have been less likely that anime would enter the 3 or so year slice-of-life period that it did. Plus I find a number of their fans to be rather annoying >.>

At the same time though, they do incredibly great quality work and have done/adapted some of my favorites such Clannad, Chuunibyou, and, well, Haruhi.

I know its not a video game company but its what came to mind.

If I want to hate a company, than I hate it. Take Nintendo for example and their stupid regiocoding. I hate them for that to the extent, that I won't buy official Nintendo products ever again. If I want them, I buy them used.

Hating Capcom? Hrrrm... I've not seen anything off hand that would indicate I should hate them, though I have heard a few stories, but none of which applies to me. That being said, there's only one company I hate (EA) and there's absolutely nothing that I love about them, so I guess they don't fit into this topic.

Maybe Bethesda... or Blizzard.... yeah, they could fit into the category, though it's not a very strong hate, seriously... so... no.

Oh! Wait! I know! Enix! Definitely. I WANT KH3... oh but... KH3D is still so delicious but... GAH! And don't even get me started on the FF franchise.

If they can't get the Japanese voices, they shouldn't even bother to release it, because what's the point of releasing an essentially unplayable game?

Are 3DS (or Wii/Wii U, I guess) games ever priced differently for regions? I could understand somewhat if they are. It's like when international players flood Chinese servers with their higher income flow. Still, games should be automatically get region-unlocked a year after release.

I want to hate Ijji for burning Gunbound, and in general not being good with game life. But they did introduce me to Gunster/Gunstrike and Golf King.

But still... why didn't you set up a cash shop for those games and at least TRY to keep them alive? T.T

Atlus because they don't have an European branch? :p
Financially speaking I know Index Corporation is struggling but having the same treatment as in the US for game releases would be nice (whether they are translated or not). But I don't mind importing some games.

Also I don't get the regionlocking...

There's also the issue though of many games never being released outside Japan or N-America. Even those that are usually come much later to Europe and other regions.

Well, it makes more sense when people can still buy more of your consoles to buy more of your games.
