No more running at night time. Never leaving home without a net.

From June through September are when the game becomes "Australia Simulator: New Leaf", where you can't walk out of your home at night without running the risk of dying. What, with assassins crawling behind every tree, flower and bush.

I ran into a tarantula the other day. I snuck up on it with my net out (holding down A) and even though it turned around to face me it didn't rush me down and I just backed away until it turned it's back. This went on for a few minutes before it decided to fall into my river.

Damn it, I'm terrified.

It is rumoured that, while they respond to movement, if you sneak up to them all slow-like (as if they are a golden stag), they won't jump and attack you.

I was fortunate to have had them walk on-top of me in your situation.

Is it at all possible to move a villager from a secondary town to a main town? (example: I have a digital and physical copy of new leaf, I mainly play on the physical but Fang just moved into my digital. Is there any way to move him to my physical copy of the game?)
