Re: Persona Q
Yeah, Persona is more modern fantasy than sci-fi. You can get deeper when you throw in the prodding human psyche elements.
Two major characters are voiced by one actor.

Re: Persona Q
I just hear a lot of stuff like "portals" and it sounds future-y. I don't really know much about Personna, we only just started pretending it was an EO game about two weeks ago! :)
Still, maybe I'll get it eventually.

Urban fantasy. I think that's what I was looking for.

Re: Persona Q
Actually, Zamisk, maybe don't play this until you play Persona 3 and 4. I think most of the entertainment is the characters of those two coming together. Then hilarity ensues.
At this point, I really do want to try a second playthrough from the other perspective.

Re: Persona Q
Boss 2 Spoilers:
Also, Wendee Lee is best Fuuka.
EDIT: Brace yourselves for the 3rd dungeon. It's got floor-wide word puzzles. Keep real notebooks handy.
Actually, just... brace yourselves....

Re: Persona Q
Heard about that. Don't know what it is.
Now trying to phase out Aigis so I can put in Shinji full time. Much as she's a useful tank, the robot speak is still annoying. Shinji is just awesome. Less jerk-ass, more straight man.
Also try to fit in Yukiko somewhere. Maybe figure out how to drop Naoto, although she's still useful.

Oh, right. Yeah, did see that when I updated my 3DS. Did remind me I needed to redo my connection.
But I'll be passing on it, thanks.
EDIT: God dammit, Shinji...

Re: Persona Q
Your choice ^_^
My team that I've pretty much settled on:
P3M, Teddie, Shinjiro
Naoto, Zen/Rei
I'm sorta rethinking Teddie a bit. I want a P4 char that's good with magic to take his place. Teddy is kinda squishy... I heard talk that Naoto is a beast late-game and so far I approve of her.

Re: Persona Q
Yeah, apparently Teddie is the worst character.
P4 casters are more or less Yukiko, Yosuke and Naoto. P4MC might also work well, though not at the level of the others.
Yukiko is slow but powerful and lucky, with some healing.
Yosuke is fast and relatively powerful, but unlucky.
Naoto's basically the best character in the game. Not taking into account the insta-kill mob sweeping, she's got the magic to back up any spell you give her, the speed to out-speed a lot, and the luck to cause ailments. It's her, P3MC, then whatever 3 physical people you want (or 2 and another caster), typically.
My setup is:
I wanted to use Yukiko, but so far she hasn't been unique enough in comparison to P3MC, other than natural group magic. Lk/Ag accessory helped her, though. Maybe next playthrough with P4, dropping P3MC.
As for how the game is going?

Re: Persona Q
Hey, that's fine, too. Whatever gets through the dungeon as much headache-free as possible. I've come across not having options against mobs when Naoto failed, so she's a bit of a crutch until you get options, which I got more of around level 30. I'll keep it in mind next playthrough or even this one.
Zen/Rei are powerful because they lack what everyone else has: sub-persona recovery and options. What they are in the beginning, they'll be in the end.
As for Yu, try a growth accessory.
... I honestly thought this was the best voice-acting I've heard in any JRPG ever. Even in comparison to the original games.

Re: Persona Q
Oh hey, looks like it's time to turn Shinji into the tank and place Chie. Genbu and Oumitsunu have what I need. (More the latter but... Si Xiang...)
