Itl Monster Hunting

I disliked the ranged weapons (I don't have a circle pad pro, that could be why) and lance, and despite some practice I am garbage with the DB. I think when I get better at general gameplay I will try again, because I really want to use them. GL was fun, and SnS suits me well, so I'll see which I do better with next time I play.

Anyway, as for progress; I beat all of the caravan levels 1 and 2 quests, did the first expedition, and beat all the guild missions except the last 3 bosses for HR1. I can easily beat great jaggi (I have a full set of their armor) and seltas on my own and I took down a velocidrome by myself. He was the fastest thing I had faced yet, but I'm getting slightly better. I still haven't died yet, so that's cool. This game makes me feel like a tiny fish in a big pond.

Nobody warned me how much of my life this game would take up.

Of note, they are splitting this month's free DLC into two dates... We're finally getting the G-Rank versions of Rathian and Rathalos. Then on the 17th, we are finally getting the "USJ: A Colorful Feast" quest (no longer needing to go to Universal Studios in Japan), the Star Knight armor quest.

I had been avoiding this game because of the hassle of getting high rank armor. Went online with some bros for an hour and killed like 4 tetsucabras, now I have a full set. Hopefully will get back into this.

I'm about to hit HR5. The Pink Rathian killed me on my first and only attempt so far. I had it limping, but his fire attacks wrecked me the few times they connected. I have high rank Nerscylla armor which is poison-proof, so if I eat for fire resistance next time I should be able to take it down without too much of a problem.

I also finally figured out how to charge my shield which lets me use the ultra smash move. I couldn't figure out how to do it from watching Gaijin Hunter's tutorial, but I did it accidentally and figured out what he meant. I love the Charge Blade for solo, but I'm trying out other weapons still in multiplayer.

Edit: Noobles, we should play sometime. Or anyone else really, it just sounds like Noobles and I are around the same level.

I hate my palicoes, They're super annoying 100% of the time. I like to eat for that skill that lets you kick them better and do that as much as possible when I kill the monsters.
