I've had much more time with the game and it's only getting more and more addictive. @___@ At first it was just "kind of cool" and now it's like "This is amazing!". The weekly events are everything from bargains to plague-bearing chimps espacing from a zoo. The classes I've unlocked are cool, too.

Alchemist - DUPER OMG HAX. They have a small chance of duplicating an item or field magic at the start of a turn which is great for making money. Also a very high salary.

Cleric - The expected. They have a chance of automatically healing some HP at the start of a turn and can optionally learn the ability to Heal to full on their attacking turn. They get a lot of Def and HP.

Monk - They get REALLY STRONG as their HP goes down which pretty much means that if they go first and they're low in health, they'll probably one-shot the opposition if they're within level range and pick the wrong defensive option. However if they are at a mid-HP or their opponent goes first, it could be a trip back to the temple. :[

Spellsword - Some sort of warrior-magician mix. They reflect field magic by chance.
Robo Knight - Uh... a really obscure class earned by even more obscure methods. I didn't like it that much. Their ability is a slight chance of having the ability to choose how many spaces they move (0-6).
I'm still missing... the acrobat and I don't want to spoil how to get it.

Atlus has quite the sense of humour. Upon being defeated by the computer, my friend was renamed "SteamLOLed". We've also seen a few other cruel names like "General Butt" and "CoffinStuffer".

Wouldn't that have been a great day at the office for them. XD To sit around a table and toss out insulting names they could call players in the game. Yeah, you know they had fun doing that.

Ah, finally got the game. It's so love. <3

Tips and info on classes to follow...
Warrior: Gets random AT boost at the start of their turns. Other than that, nothing too spectacular.

Magician: Can use two Field Magics at the same time. Playing a Magician near the end of the game can be deadly, as the attack field magics grow in power based on MG (though you need SP as well to actually hit). So... doublecasting DX spells or Flash Bomb can obliterate other players...

Thief: Steals items when passing by opponents. Best to play this class first, when the map is small and everyone's still within a small area.

Cleric: Unlock via mastering any of Warrior, Magician, or Thief. The main use of this class is its two in-battle abilities. One allows it to spend its turn recovering all HP; the other allows it to recover only half HP, but remove status effects. It's very difficult to take down a Cleric with those skills...

Ninja: Unlock via mastering Warrior & Thief. Field ability lets them use two items in one turn. The main advantage is their growth: Due to mastery boosts (Mastering a class gives a permanent +1 growth per level in a particular stat), they'll be getting at least +3 AT and SP per level.

Spellsword: Unlock via mastering Warrior & Magician. I don't find they have any particular advantages.

Alchemist: Unlock via mastering Thief & Magician. The random item-clone they have as a field ability is ridiculous. Not for getting gold, but rather for stocking up on items you can't get easily (Miracle Medicine, Charm Potions, and Skeleton Keys come to mind). If you try to play one against hard AI though, be ready for Purse Cutter spells being thrown at you.

Monk: Unlock via mastering Cleric. Their main advantage is the Soul Fire combat ability, which uses up their turn to begin buffing their attack power. 50% boost that turn; then -another- 50% boost each turn after that. With a sufficiently high AT, you can have 999 at the start of round two of combat...

Acrobat: God this thing is broken. You need to get a Show Pass from the Casino in Casino Cave - play the minimum-bet slots until your 'bonus result' comes up as Great, and you'll get it. The Acrobat is broken for one reason: The field ability gives a 50% chance to survive any fatal attack with half health. The Angel Choker item does this too - and, in fact, they stack. o.o;

Robo Knight: One of the two "Final Classes". Master Alchemist and Monk, then get the Lost Technology as a random item in the Sunken Shrine (Good luck 8D). Its passive ability gives it a random chance at any time to be able to decide between moving 1-6 spaces. The Crystal Choker accessory can give this to other characters, though.

Hero: The other of the two "Final Classes". Master Spellsword, Ninja, and Acrobat, then win Angel Wings from a certain enemy and use them to reach the Castle in the Clouds at the very top of Daunting Mountain, -then- get the Hero License as a random item up there. Yes, it's hard to get. The main advantage seems to be boosted levelling rates and the fact they can carry 12 items -and- 12 magic spells, and use one of each per turn.
Please say I'm not the only one who sees this. :[ Ike and Gutz are totally, like, related.

Can someone help me out and explain how this game is played? I'm thinking about getting it, but I can't for the life of me understand what goes on in the game. Is it like Mario Party?

;_____; I'm sorry I'm so terribly stupid sometimes. You guys are the best <3

ETA: What I mean is, I assume you each get a turn, and when its your turn you "roll the dice" and move around a board? What do you do during your turn? I've looked at reviews and such online but its one of those "Durrrhh Kino is stupid/whats with all this lexicon I don't get" situations.

Whether you play on the same team or not is up to you. If you land on a space with both a monster and a player, you can decide who to attack. I've asked someone to help me kill a monster only to stab her in the back after she's done all the work! This game really encourages underhanded methods.

RPG elements are very heavy. There are many classes to become and yes, you level up from victories. In addition to your job level up bonuses, you also get stat points to customize. There's also weapons, armor, accessories and the like which can all be equipped. Item shops, magic shops and armories are all there. I say the RPG elements and Monopoly elements are equally balanced. I want to say the RPG elements are much more pronounced but at some point in the game, I was a filthy rich alchemist who used her money to get dirty work done. All the other players were at my mercy.
