Both P1 and P2 have fan translations as well; well, incomplete ones (and P2 has an actual US release; well, half the game does). They're also far different from P3 / P4, which take the same general "dark" story but dressed it up in pretty colors and anime-styled visuals.

I know what you're trying to say (and btw, Grave of the Fireflies reference wins the thread) it's just ... I guess I'm just on the side not bothered by it going more "omg look anime!1!!" It's a departure from the old days, sure, but it's a new experience and the gameplay itself is still there. I don't really give a damn about the other people who play the game--just if I enjoy it personally.

That said, god damn the P3 / P4 boards are terrible and it indeed does suck to have a game go from "niche" with it's good, solid community to, "lol i'd hit it."

As for The Wold Ends With You, it also gets my award of, "holy shit finally a game I couldn't play on a non-DS." I mean, the majority of DS titles I've played merely went from "Control with D-Pad," to, "OMG MOVE TEH STYLUS." No, that's not utilizing the DS for something unique just changing the norm. Hell, sometimes it's less appropriate (seriously, how do all SRPG games fail miserably at DS Stylus controls?) or clumsy at best.

Trauma Center as well for "hrm, not on DS would suck." Just that TWEWY, which also wins the "that's a funny acronym," award, just "felt" better. Maybe it was due to being an RPG and actually utilizing it. I dunno. Maybe it's because TWEWY kicked me ass less than TC after I stopped playing for a few days >>.

It's a picture of Goto from Raidou Kuzunoha (the Action RPG one). Well, that or something other black cat with green eyes ... but I'm going with the Goto guess >>.

Look at that shiny dot in the middle of it's forehead! That is a moon, the cat is SO TOTALLY Luna, and Atlus is bringing over a Sailor Moon game. FTW!
