Edit: On a related note ... I need to start playing through this. May just wait (read: put off) until the English release though hm...

Anyone playing this? I beat it a month ago, and my predictable answer is that I didn't like it. Just didn't feel like a MegaTen game. But judged outside of that, it's quite good. Easily the best of the five MegaTen strategy games so far in terms of gameplay. I just can't get over how much it panders to the anime crowd. I am shallow, I know.

I'm maybe... four hours into it, and I agree. It's a very unique game that I'm absolutely enjoying but... you're right, I don't feel "SMT" should have been tacked onto its title.

Not exactly sure what "doesn't feel like a MegaTen" game means. It feels rather in place with most the recent iterations. May not be like the original SMTs but ... meh, who cares. I quite like the new direction more-so.

As for the SMT title ... every game the SMT team works on gets that as part of their name.

If nothing else, the fact you can pick your skills on Fusions is enough to make me not want to murder kittens as I aim for the 0.3% chance of an ideal fusion (fucking Persona 4 "Perfect" Lucifer).
