To sign up to Atlus newsletter, you must become an "Atlus Faithful". To do this, go to the main website and at the far left, you see the colum with "quick poll" and the marque "news"? Down at the bottom of that is a bar that says "E-mail". type in your e-mail address and voila!

I've been noticing a fair bit of criticism too, but usually aimed at its anime art style or the whole first-person dungeon crawler aspect. I think Etrian Odyssey had a similar reception. Some people just really don't like anime-style artwork for some reason. I have a pretty good idea of what group of people might be to blame for such, but I won't say a thing...

Anyway, it does look like getting the class (or major, I should say) you want could be difficult, if the second/third comic on the site is anything to go by. Something about stats being randomly generated. You could probably switch classes or something later on, which the comic seems to suggest. The random stat generation is a bit of a turn off in general, but not enough for me to decide against getting it. You can have a lot more than 6 charcters too, just limited to a party of six. I think the game even gives some pre-generated characters.

Shows character creation + early game. Can't say much for the music from the youtube videos/trailer. Seems mellow, which honestly I kinda expected. It sorta fits the school theme. Can't seem to find any videos with battle or dungeon music since the other videos seem to be just the japanese trailers...
