FF4 was the first real FF

The earlier games might have helped pioneer the console RPG genre, but they are very dated, and lacked good narrative. I enjoyed them, but not on the level I enjoyed FF4 or any of its sequels.

I think my first FF game was FF4.

FFIV was arguably the first 'all-round' package - although the narrative was pretty dubious at times [spoiler](Characters returning from death was particularily ridiculous - apparently you cannot die unless you are an old man)[/spoiler], and the character system was (until the DS remake) rather inflexible.

I'm one of those freaks that actually enjoyed FFII. Just like DQ, I like them all for different reasons - except X-2, that was just an awful awful waste of the Job System.

I am thinking of picking up this game as a EO and SMT die hard fan, does it have a fussion system like devil survivor?
