This seems to be a really old community. How active is it? Etrian Odyssey seems to be a lesser known game series, so I'm curious as to how much activity this place gets.

Oh, that's a shame. I kinda figured since EO's popularity isn't high. Lots of people are turned off my the manual mapping and stuff.

Yeah, we used to be a lot bigger, back when EO2 and 3 came out especially. The newer games are a little more mainstream so they ironically attract less of the niche crowd to populate places like this. Most people on the internet these days talk on twitter or reddit instead of forums. So most of the people on here now are folks who joined when the last couple games came out or folk who have been coming for many years

Either way, it's been a good stretch of years so I really don't feel like I have any right to complain if things are starting to dry up a bit. Sadly I also feel that I'm partly responsible due to my own lack of just being able to sort of do any sort of projection or posting news and such that might get us higher up on SEO rankings and draw in more attention towards us. Then again, it is a niche community so I'm not sure how much that would actually help.

Hey there, folks! Name's Gleason. EOIV was my first run of the series...somehow...and although I took a long, long break around the time of the 3rd Maze, I came back and was hooked. I stumbled across the forum while looking up ideas for subclasses (N/L at first for Initiative damage boost? What was I thinking?), and just beat the storyline boss Sunday morning! I haven't gotten far in the 6th maze yet, but I plan to run EOU1, 2, and then EO3, most likely in that order.
