Reminds me of when our Wizard casted Sleep on the boss Dragon. DM failed his saving throw for 5 turns, which was how long the entire combat lasted. Our DM was pretty much bitter about that incident.
I too enjoy being smug at my DM once in a while by having a clear advantage over his mobs. A Hammer Shield (AV2 - Aleheart Companion's Gear) + Crusader Craghammer + Astral Flare (Cleric lvl. 3 Encounter Power) + Fighter's Combat Challenge = My awesome Defenses for one turn of combat and having 85% hostilities after me. My record is AC 41, Fort 40, Ref 37, Will 38 at lvl 17.
However, this made my DM to once in a while purposely set one or two targets having as high defense as I am or hits everyone else once I'm in that "turtled" state.

To which our Infernal Warlock simply curses everything, takes self-induced damage, activates Hellish Rebuke damage, Cursegrinds, kills 65% of the minions, racks 50 Temp HP and becomes a temporary Controller/Striker/Defender.
