@noodles - Agreed.

I had no idea ItL was comprised of nothing but pyromaniacs. Good to know!

why is it whenever I try to do something in programming, I end up hitting a snag and just end up giving up and feeling so completely stupid.

-_- *sigh* My self-confidence as a site coder keeps taking major hits.

It's okay! It's really all about practice and applying concepts. There's always tutorials and videos online and lots of programmers to offer help.

The best way to code is to write code. After a while, you notice patterns and it all just becomes intuitive. I'm pretty bad at coding, but that's what my experience was like when I took Java.

I keep trying to tell myself that I am just a beginner. I do REALLY well in my classes but... then I go and open up something coded by others and realize o_o my studies have only just barely scratched the surface. -_-; And then because I can't read the codes, the examples I was hoping to learn from become incomprehensible and impossible to manipulate.

Like Rain said, it's largely about practice. Oftentimes, even with code samples you don't understand at first, it's useful to just blindly copy them for the act of typing them out, which can help more than you might think. And the process of fixing the inevitable typos and being exposed to the stuff the compiler spits back at you will help too. Plough through more and more new code and don't worry about not understanding every line or construct right away. With enough exposure you'll start making connections.

*mutters* I'd just like to at the very least be able to understand enough to get the siggy creator to work -_-;

I don't even have a simple working example to go by for that. *sigh* Everything keeps pointing me to the GD tutorial that's already online, but looking at that and trying to divine information is still too impossible for me to understand at this stage. I keep wandering back to it ocassionally hoping to understand magically one day but... <_< obviously, that's not worked.

I can't stand another second of this. My grandma is bar none the most annoying person on the face of this freaking planet. I can stand about one week of her every couple of months, but I was here in Winnipeg with her for three weeks this summer, she was over to our house last weekend, and now I'm at her house for this weekend.

Today, she woke me up so I could vacuum her bed. She wakes me up by singing "good morning to you". Then she went on to say how she wished I was little again so she could just hug me and squeeze me all day long. Then, when we were putting the sheets on her bed, she was spouting retarded crap about the sheets having to "fit just right, like a bra!" Then, she made me come out of my room to have horrible weak watered-down coffee with her, and she was talking about how she never had to spank me as a little boy cause I was so good ect. And everything is in this really annoying splenda-sweet voice.

I'm going to kill myself. Like, actually.

Hey, at least she isn't being mean or demanding. It sucks but you have to realize that they won't be around for very long and it's best to just humor them and give them company
