Everyone here is so fascinating. ⌒.⌒
My very first job was at a GameStop as seasonal help. I was still in high school then and painfully shy. My second job, and the beginning of a long love affair, was at a local used bookstore in my hometown. I stayed there for 5 1/2 years before I moved to Katy and worked at another local used bookstore for 1 1/2 years. Then I moved here (here being Austin) and have how been working for yet another bookstore for about 6-7 months. It seems I cannot stay away, despite the terrible pay and always always always so busy! :3
Somewhere in all that I also held second jobs, once as a secretary for a health clinic and once as a secretary for a small computer/network setup and repair company. Each of those lasted about a year before I just couldn't sustain two jobs anymore.
Now I'm toying with the idea of either taking ASL classes and working with kids and/or busting my ass to start designing/binding books eventually and/or helping people build tumbleweed homes... So much to learn first, though! @.@

Re: What do you do for a living anyways?
So I started a new job in January, and everyone keeps asking me about it. I'm getting better at explaining it, but it's still really hard to convey what I do, haha.
Although I have a cool title. I'm the Portal Administrator. I drink tea everyday at my desk with my Aperture Sciences coffee mug. So far no one has commented. I don't think my co-workers understand the reference. Heh!
But, uh, basically, I'm like a wizard who sits around at her desk all day and does stuff.

Re: What do you do for a living anyways?
I'm 25 and I work as an IT Security Analyst for a large international airline in the UK. I've been in IT Security for nearly a year now, prior to that I was in IT Service Management for a year or so and then prior to that I was a distribution, CRM SME, helpdesk and contracts executive in the Sales department.
I really enjoy my role in IT Security. I don't really do grunty type things like fix computers, but I deal with the more high level issues and assist in strategic directions and analyse data trends, deal with confidential investigations and stuff like that. Very varied.

Psh, like a grunty could fix a computer. Their cute little hands probably can't even work the keys.

^ 'Swhat I was referencing. Love those little bastards.
And Kino, I am now a semi-decent DM for my own group. We've played 7 or 8 sessions without mutiny. But I really miss playing, I don't have a passion for DMing. I'm just the only one who really can at this point.
