Re: Visual Novels
Gah! I still have not completed it. I got the one "real" ending that still ended not so good that I think unlocks the true ending or something. I can't remember. ... ^_^ I'll get to it probably soon since I'm done with Umineko and in need of some new VN vice.

Re: Visual Novels

*Important note: Not actually a Senpai.

Re: Visual Novels
Windows or Mac. There is a Playstation version but it's not translated (has better art, though).
If you are interested, the first game is free as a "demo". (It's an eight part series. The first four are the "question arcs" and the second is the "breakdown arc".)
The fan/kinda-official/has Ryo's seal of approval/translation site: http://witch-hunt.com/
Translations for all eight games are available there. To get the download for the first game just go to this page:

I have not read the manga. I've not idea what the story is like (how faithful, etc). I'm sure the art is better but there's a beauty to the game in its presentation and the music is SWEEEEEEEEET!

Re: Visual Novels
Katawa Shoujo.
Not very far yet, but I like it so far, I especially like how the game's backlog works, instead of opening a big text window it goes one line at a time, however, it will also rewind to that scene, in case you wanted to look at the picture again, or missed something the character sprite did or something, or just wanted to listen to that bit's music again or what have you. I haven't read any other ones that do it that way.
Also if you go back to a completed decision point, it'll put checkmarks by the choices you've done already.
The characters are pretty charming so far, though I've only met a few.

Re: Visual Novels
I'm assuming the animated cutscene and title card for act 2 mean I'm on Emi's route.

Re: Visual Novels
Rin is probably my favorite <33 on Act 3
apparently there's a Kenji route, I did not know this.

Punching people is very romantic, and don't let anybody tell you otherwise.

Re: Visual Novels
The Kenji route is a bad ending you get for not initiating one of the other routes.
