You do NOT post your manuscript up ANYWHERE on NaNoWriMo. You can do a small preview, but that's about it. The only time you are required to upload your story is on November 31st for the official "final count". In short, no one except you EVER has to read your manuscript, unless you want them to. That is why you might see so many NaNos having Live Journals. Some of us like to post our chapters up in it. And, you can write whatever you want, how ever you want.

Really, it's not an official "contest' as much as it's an excuse to sit down and write 50000 words. Relax and have fun writing whatever you want.

Also, use your editor/agent as the final vote. You may find P.M. Fischer is more marketable.
