Anyway, we get more information. For those keeping track at home, this is the third episode in a row that is giving us background information. 3.5 if we count the credits of the first episode also serving as an info dump. Anyway, we're shown the semblances of a plot and shadow stuff forming as well as some information about our dead female lead, Horizon, and the boy linked to her, our very own Smugfuckdouche-kun, Aoi Tori. Basically,

Though, we learn a lot through Masazumi (who, interestingly enough, is referred to as a son, though I guess she is meant to have become a boy so I guess...). She questions as to why Tori acts the way he does despite the burden that he bears. Which is an interesting thing of note since, yeah, his goofball status is ramped to fucking 11.

Besides that, we MAY HAVE PLOT HAPPENING SOON. HOLY SHIT PLOTTTTT.

Honestly, I think it's a pretty mediocre adaptation. Why pick P4?

Devil Summoner or heck, even Strange Journey would make a better anime adaptation, if done right.

Master Keaton man, I'm loving it.

Anime...is awesome.
However I have watched 4 series in a row last week so I had to take a break.

It's weird. There's just a part of Horizon that allures me despite the exposition infodump and convoluted nature of it (and, well, those ridiculous breasts). I think I just wanted some ridiculously over-the-top action that it's providing (the entire bit with Kazuno and the mechs made me smile).

Huge cast of characters, all with their own skillsets and abilities and the conflict and strife to go with it. They REALLY needed to have condensed episodes 1-3, though, into two episodes since a three episode barrier before ANYTHING HAPPENS is rough for people who are somewhat interested and are getting thrown off by character design (seriously, those breasts) or the world itself.

Likewise, Ben-To is hilariously over-the-top. It's a strange satire, of sorts, to the idea of shounen action. The seriousness of the characters is a stark contrast to the absolute mundane nature of the plot device driving the conflict. It's hilarious. Complete with male machismo but without the melodrama and serious plot; we're not fighting for the sake of the world but damned if the characters aren't going at it as if they were.

It's a hilarious thing to see and to look upon and laugh at myself for enjoying Horizon for the same reasons I'm enjoying Ben-To.

I like over the top show best, that and comedy, and harems and D. all the above.
