I never let anyone rest outside of town without some kind of consequence. The thing is, they NEVER rested, and the sorceress felt content to go through the last dungeon shooting a crossbow (almost never hitting anything) and not using any of her spells. I'm trying to get it so that they HAVE to use the abilities at their disposal, without being so hard so fast that they die before they learn to pay attention.

I've always wanted to put the PCs in a maze dungeon, and really strong gelatinus cubes are roaming around it, so they'd have to think and evade or die.

my friday dnd group has been in a maze dungeon for IRL months (though only a couple days in-game). We just beat the boss and ended the curse, and the DM informed us that we only saw about 10% of the dungeon and loot. Kinda wanna sleep in a locked room and keep exploring
