Looks kind of like a leatherbound book on the outside.
Doesn't look like a book, but definitely book related. Bonus: EO related.

@PLA - Well, that's certainly closer than anything else I've found. :3 If only they made that leather-looking Professor Layton book case for the XL. I think it's only for the DSi.

@Reynard - I like the wood one! Maybe I could mix and match or just create a custom one if I can find a good enough design. Hmm...
