Lawful Evil. Destructive, but fully aware, controlled and working towards a greater agenda that is not exactly in line with the greater good... yet will achieve an ultimatum which will not require too much sacrifice. Does not hesitate to make cuts, even if it means losing friends or interest, as long as the goal is reached.

I would say I'm lawful neutral. Ditto more or less what Optional Boss noted about good/evil self-perception. As for the lawful part, I'm not as concerned about the particulars of any body of law maintained and enforced by some institution/infrastructure as I am about the existence of such an infrastructure. I value order and continuity, and am very much a "by the book" kinda guy in most situations.
It should be unsurprising, then, that I disapprove in general of chaotic good behaviour. It annoys me that what seems to be a majority of movie and rpg heroes are of the chaotic good alignment, with lawful type characters portrayed as negative nancies hindering progress. I'm sorry, your emo recklessness is not excused by the fact that the story was written to make it all work out in your favour in the end.
