Last cat I lived with we named Shadow for exactly that reason. (I think I was 9 at the time.)

Also: the cheapest toys are the best ones for cats. Do not underestimate the power of a tinfoil ball or a random shoe string. XD
Funny story: I rarely get things like little mice or ferrets for my cats cause I just don't think they like them.
I got a ferret toy on a string like two weeks ago and have been having fun with Lily with it. I put it away last night after playing with her but I guess it fell on the floor. We keep our bread in this white shelf thing that has square holes all over it - just a little flimsy container-shelf that you can buy attachments for to build one on top of the other. The cats have claimed the bottom one as their own space since we never put anything on it. Well, this morning I found that the ferret had been pulled through one of those square holes into that bottom container... o_O I have no idea how. Even when I tried to stuff it back through, it was too big! ^_^ On top of that... its tail had successfully been chewed off.
I think I'm going to go out and try to buy some of those tiny mice and see if she would like to play with those.

I have this little stuffed animal parrot that Huckleberry liked to wrestle with sometimes. That's not why I got it, but it's cute to watch.
