Mostly I was talking about how buck is no more strange than quid, and how it was weird that people sometimes aren't able to make the connection.

I learned what 'quid' meant by reading the Indian in the Cupboard. It was set in England, and Omri talked about spending quid on things.

I learned most things out of books, which led to a confusing life where my Oklahoma upbringing did not match the upbringings of the children I read about

so then I started reading fantasy and it didn't matter

Also today everyone encouraged me to go home since I was sick. I keep forgetting that

a) I don't have to get my shift covered or feel guilty about being sick

b) I get paid sick leave so it isn't like I'm losing money

Tomorrow I might even GO TO A DOCTOR because I can

I guess there are several supervisors for different departments and all of their hirees go to the same training class... my supervisor is actually getting mad at the others for dragging their feet when she has me and several others waiting and she needs people in her department NOW.

I'm getting updates through my sister - which I do not necessarily mind, but at the same time, I kinda wish the woman would call ME and talk to ME. Me and Tia are close but uhh... I do not depend on my sister for my job o_O;

I never really elaborated, but I do Korean -> English localization work from home for many clients through a firm based in Seoul. The firm is not tied to any one company. This is just something to keep me busy until I resume my studies in fall.
