It was brought to my attention that some people just assume everyone watched TV when they were young. That's what got me interested in knowing... did you?
My parents didn't allow me to watch TV when I was a young kid and later they allowed me only 1h TV per day and that only after school and not on weekends. (On weekends I was instead allowed to watch a movie.) How about you?
Additionally, around 2006 I decided for myself to never watch TV again.

Yes, I watched TV when I was a kid. It was black/white until about '85 or so though. I bought my own TV when I was 17 I think. About 5 or 6 years ago I realized that I hardly ever watched TV anymore. I ended my cable subscription a year later and haven't watched TV since. I haven't missed it.

^_^ I miss the old cartoon classics like David the Gnome, Eurika's Castle, Little Bits, Inspector Gadget. My god those were some awesome shows.
Moving around from place to place we didn't always get tv as soon as we were done moving. I always preferred my books in the end anyways. <_< These days I watch NCIS, Person of Interest, and a few other similar shows, and that's about it.
I liked the one time that I was trolled for not knowing what LOST was. That was fun. *shrugs* Seriously, who lives their life by the tv anyways?
XD I AM a Pixar whore, though. And the old Disney animations (Pre-Mulan... you know, back when they were GOOD and actually cared about STORY).

So much educational television. And Batman. And dubious, swedish comedy.

I watched Power Rangers up to at least "In Space," because after that it got boring. XD Even then, I had problems with it after Tommy left for good and the new rangers came in.
I also watched a lot of Sailor Moon and DBZ, not knowing how much those two anime would be the start of my path down the anime-fandom. XD Arguably, Voltron and Speed Racer were also involved.
Other shows I liked when I was a kid:
Beetle-Borgs, Inspector Gadget, Pokemon (of course), the original Digimon, and practically everything on Toonami.
...Justice Friends.

How much I watched was restricted, and what I watched was extremely restricted.

I grew up on MTV. No kidding. During elementary school I lost interest in TVs in general.

I didn't have cable when I was younger, but I watched TV when I wasn't home.

Man, I miss those Saturday Morning Cartoons and such, like The Big Guy and Rusty the Boy Robot, pretty much all of the Power Rangers until I think the Ninja one, Monster Rancher, Digimon...
