What're YOU afraid of? [Fears Thread Yaaay~]

I started a thread like this on another forum once. It was mildly popular. Might as well try again here!

Anyways, discuss your fears, be they merely your present fears or fears you've had all your life. For example: I'm afraid that this thread is going to get a lot of sarcastic replies, then everyone's gonna call me stupid for opening it! But that won't happen right? RIGHT?

I'll start things off by saying that I'm afraid of heights. Its not even a small thing either. I can be on the second floor of a building and if I can see the first floor and I'm not just looking down the stairs I'll be terrified of falling down, but diving boards (Granted there's water around...) and roller coasters seem to even faze me. Clowns kinda freak me out, but i'm not as insane about it as some people I know.

I got over it eventually but while I was in Mexico when I was young I used to have the fear of mariachi bands for whatever reason. The way they dressed and always stayed together just seemed so sinister to me...

Birds. Flightless and flighted birds. They're OK to eat and tthat's about it. I hate them. They are horrible. Order of horriblesness:

Any bird near me
Turkeys
Peacocks
Seagulls
Swans
Chickens
ALL OTHERS

I was at a Llama Park the other day* and there were some chickens, some little chicken like things that I'm going to call running chickens and peacocks and I got trapped between a peacock and a chicken. I literally just ran like a mad thing across the muddy park to try and get away from there. It was hideous.

* I didn't proactively try and find a Llama Park, we decided to go somewhere and then realised that it was super boring there and decided just to drive and then my other half saw the Llama Park and we just turned in .

I have a horrible fear of drowning. The main irony is that I LIVE ON A LAKE. My family speacilizes in BOATS AND LAKESIDE REALTY.

So whenever I am without a life jacket while we're in deep water I go completely bananas. Everyone I know is well aware if you plan to bring me on the water, bring a damn life jacket or life saverfor my sanity.

And for you water bird fearers (I'm pretty sure I invented a word) the birds here are rather nice. I held I wild duckling in my hand and not a bird cared, though the mother wouldn't stop following me until I put it down. Good remediation.

I'm actually afraid of bugs, I just wanted to do what Sponge said not to. I don't understand my fear of bugs, but when I see them too close they freak me out.

I'm not afraid of them, but I agree most birds are awful. They are literally the worse things on the planet, besides some insects. Some of them are really rad, but those are rare.

Bees, wasps and anything similar.

Also high places terrify me.

I'm moderately afraid of everything. It's a slowcooking dread not clearly demarcated from apathy.

I like bees, though. They're much cuter and usefuller than hornets. Hornets are formally evil, and have high battle-power.

Birds are almost people-tier animals.

I fell through the ice, once, but it was painful and annoying more than scary.

In elementary school one of my friends told me the thing about swallowing spiders in your sleep and I was terrified of spiders for years. I still get freaked out now if they're big enough, although that extends to just bugs in general. Like, no crunching when I kill you, please.

I used to be very afraid of Freddy Krueger when I was a little kid, which finally went away by the time I've finished elementary school.

In a more serious tone, the sight of blood can make me a bit sick. Also, deep water. Fuck deep water.
