I haven't even tried Izuna 1 yet because of EO2. Should I buy Izuna 2 just in case, even though I don't know yet if I will want it?

Ay, dilemma.. Do I persist with EO2 trying to get past the floor 23 boss (which I'm rather pessimistic about), or do I give up and start Izuna (or maybe Summon Night: Twin Age)?
I know, blasphemy to think of giving up, but with the level cap I don't see how to beat that boss with my current party.

You probably need to either rest or retire your characters to get a better build and/or (if you retire) to get more skill and stat points and to have a higher level cap (if done at whatever level your cap is right now).

I already rested my whole party. We're now back up to level 69. I'll try one more time when we hit 70 again.
Retiring will take ages to catch up, and it only gives one measly level extra. I'm not sure it's worth the trouble.
