S.T.A.L.K.E.R. is fantastic game. FEAR is another fun fps, sp and mp. Also for a good combat filled romp Icewind Dale 2. That game has great character art and is probably the best usage of the IE engine. The story is no where near as epic as the Baldur's Gate saga, but the combat is solid and you can create your own party. Dawn of War is really fun, up to DC, and the art is pretty damn good in that too.

Also if you want a crpg you should check out the Witcher. Awesome story once it gets going, nice setting, and a suitably tough character.
