Hmm, well I can't exactly remember but I think that last film I watched was The Machinist (starring Christian Bale). I really liked it but the ending, the reveal, if you like, was pretty bad and while it didn't exactly ruin the film it certainly threw away a lot of what it had built up. I like David Lynch films and they keep the mystery till the end and don't even explain it all then - they keep you thinking and leave you thinking. The Machinist went from being a dark, paranoid thriller where you didn't know what was real and what was the main character's delusion... to being like the teacher giving the answers out after a test and explaining it to any kids who still don't get it.

Oh, I saw Hard Candy recently.

Really good but really disturbing.

It's this little indie film Ellen Page did before Juno.

The set up is that a 30-something photographer and a 14 year old girl (Page) talk online and agree to meet in a cafe. Except she isn't exactly innocent... and he's the prey.

It's really creepy and disturbing, but I thought it was awesome. It's a good thriller.

I looked up Hard Candy and read the synopsis on Wikipedia (It's rated R, so I can't really watch it...).

The 14 year old girl and the photographer guy are both disturbing people, but I have a question:

[spoiler]Was the photographer really a rapist murderer, or does he just like getting off to underage girls? [/spoiler]
