Want to know what's ironic?

It's easier to get a paying job here than to volunteer at the hospital. The volunteer form is massive and I feel like I'm being interrogated. It requires like a bajillion references which doesn't help because one of mine moved (with a # change) and retired while another died. I need to go stalking next week to track people down and get some contact info. >:/

I hate listing contacts. -_-; Most of my relatives barely know I exist let alone that I'm getting a job anywhere. As for friends, the moment we move away we've pretty much lost touch with them, so we'd spend hours just trying to remember where something is that might have their address or phone number on it.

Such bullshit! -_-;

Hey! If you back-up your stuff, don't forget a back-up back-up! Oh wait, what if that gets corrupted!? Then you might need a back-up for your back-up back-up! Then there's the possibility of the back-up for the back-up back-up being corrupted, so you just may as well go on and back-up the back-up for the back-up back-up. Don't forget, there's always the chance --

Okay, I'll stop now. :P You can usually get USB data keychains around $10-30. People who are really serious about stable data should consider an external harddrive. I'm not the tech type so I don't know, really. :[

I have about 80gb of stuff on my hard drive, which is about 140 gb ... but only maybe 60gb is misc stuff and not software.

I carry one spiral for each class. I keep the syllabus, handouts, tests, homework, etc. in the front pocket of the notebook and use the pages for notes/whatever.

I'm picky about my supplies. Notebooks have to be 8.5x11 college rule with perforated edges and a front pocket. Each one is a different color.

This semester I have a grey 2-subject for Geology (lecture + lab = 2 subjects), a white one for Political Thought, green for East Asia, blue for Europe and blue for French (different shades of blue/styles of notebook).

I carry only the notebooks I need for the classes that day, plus the books. I also always carry a weekly planner to keep track of reading, assignments, quizzes, whatever. Each textbook has a bookmark that is an index card with the pages for each week's reading listed.

I pack my backpack the night before with whatever notebook and books I'll need the next day. My backpack also always has my "for fun" reading book, a note pad, a french pocket dictionary, $1.50 in quarters plus my writing supplies: my main pen, a blue pen, 2 "back up" pens, 2 pencils and a yellow highlighter.

Crazy? Yes.

Yes I am.

Yeah... there was a reason why I grew up only listening to MIDIs!
