Ever17 Visual Novel

Ever17 isn't a "dating sim" per se.

It has STORY.

And, no, no H content. All characters remain fully dressed on screen. (*pouts*)


Here's a game synopsis:

The game gives you two boys you can choose to play as. The story then follows that boy as the two of them and five girls are locked inside an underwater amusement park that has mysteriously begun to collapse. However, while they are trapped and trying to survive some very weird and unexplainable things happen.

Depending on which guy you choose you get a choice of which girl to hang out with which alters the story and changes the perspectives as well as, maybe, a few events which only deepens the mystery of what is going on.

Needless to say, the story only comes together when you've played through all the storylines.

Tell me about it. In nearly every visual novel, you play as the one guy, and any other males that might show up have no voice work. And if their parts are voiced, they ALL have the option to turn off the male voices.

Also, I partly stand by my earlier suspicions of Coco. Something doesn't seem right.

[spoiler]This time, I'll focus more on my suspicions of her little companion:

* Pipi is conveniently carrying several items:
- Syrum (x5)
- Mysterious Terabyte Disc
among other things.
- seems to show up at the most opportune occasions
- Understands (more or less) human speech
- Randomly "dies" late in the story as if he was a PC that had shut down.

@Epilogues:
[spoiler]Kid's story has two epilogues which can be reached once you have obtained his partners' good endings.

Takeshi only has one epilogue which can only be reached once ALL good endings have been archived.[/spoiler]

@Bad Endings:
[spoiler]Kid has two bad endings that can be reached depending on which girl's storyline you followed.

Takeshi has only one bad ending that can be reached by screwing up either of his girls' storylines.[/spoiler]

i'm not gonna lie i totally registered to your forums cause i was lost and in need of aid lol!

i finished Tsugumi yesterday amazing story line imo, and i was ina rush tonight and finished Sora's which i didnt think was that bad honestly still an amazing story..

[spoiler]I was in a rush lol pulled an all nighter cause i wanted a little more closure to Tsugumi's path since he kinda just does his things and then it shows the life reading : 1 blah and i figured the epilogue would help me out with that..
i went to shortcuts after finishing and re played through the endings but didnt get the epilogue. did i miss something? or unknowingly get the bad ending?

Tsugumi = him leavin the sub
Sora = Him writing her info on a disk and holding her as Himmel gives in?[/spoiler]

Ok, here's the break down of the endings:

[spoiler]
The endings and how to reach them:

+Tsugumi Good End - dependent on choices
+Sora Good End - dependent on choices - Once choice (after the Tsugumi accident) is really what switches the two storylines, however I've been able to go with Sora and still be get Tsugumi's ending.
+Tsugumi/Sora Bad End - they both have the same bad ending. Special Condition: waver back and forth between the girls too much. I had a hard time getting this bad end, honestly.
+Tsugumi/Sora Epilogue - cannot be reached until ALL ENDINGS are complete. ALL ENDINGS!!!!!!!!! Let me repeat: ALL ENDINGS MUST BE COMPLETE. <-- There's a reason I'm stressing this, but it's a spoiler. Just keep this in mind.

In other words, where you are, you cannot reach it.

+You Good End / Bad End - comes down to a choice near the end of the game. Depending on what you choose, you will either succeed or fail. (Note: I can't remember but, You will present you with a riddle sometime in the game. I THINK if you don't solve the riddle you can't get the good ending, but I honestly can't remember. Meh, just solve it in case.)
+Sara Good End / Bad End - the same, minus the riddle part.
+Epilogues: Both girls have epilogues. Just go back through the game (or if you saved ahead of time, use that save file) and get back to the ending and make the good choice. I dunno if it was a glitch in my game but once I had gone back through the game for one girl, the second girl the epilogue just activated without me needing to go back through again.

Oh and another piece of advice: don't expect much closure for the endings until you've completed them all. It may seem sucky but stick with it. T-T Tsugumi~ *sob*
