Good god, Walking Dead's season finale. Wow.
It didn't get as far into the comics as I expected, but we'll have a hell of a mid-season finale next year, then! This episode was so well done. I non-ironically grabbed my hair twice, once for when and when . This episode did an amazing job of showing who most of the main characters are right now.
Carl didn't get much loving this season, which is too bad. I'm sure he'll be more of a key player in the future, though, unless they have to kill him off if the actor who plays him ages too much for time in the show to make sense. He's the only character Kirkman says he won't kill off in the comics, but it might be necessary at some point if the show goes as long as they're planning.
I love Aaron and Daryl's relationship, it's a good dynamic that is missing in the comics. I usually don't feel like the comics are missing out without Daryl, but in this case I do. It lets Aaron be better developed as a character, when he isn't overly important in the comics past this point.
Archaic, what did you think of this episode? Anyone else who watches it, feel free to chime in.
It's going to be a long wait until October. It's almost too bad that this show is incredible again, because I want more RIGHT NOW.

Been binge watching the second season of Archer today, the 2 cancer episodes are probably my favorites of the season so far.

Alright party people, let's discuss Age of Ultron.
Did anybody else think Ultron was literally just Barry from Archer?

i think he was pretty uninspiring as a villain. i never felt like he was smarter or stronger than anyone, he just had a lot of himself
Re: What are you watching? (TV/Movies)
Marvel hasn't been setting up any long-term villains besides Loki and Thanos. I'm ok if they don't all come back later, but they should be written well enough to at least make that an option. Ultron was no different, and I thought he would be.

at least it was a better plan than bane's in dark knight rises
let's put one bomb under one city, subjugate everyone under threat of it exploding, then blow it up anyway

Re: What are you watching? (TV/Movies)
The citizens folded like cardboard anyway, though. My favorite of those is Batman Begins. A fairly grounded and modern origin story, with high but realistic stakes and an excellent villain. Dark Knight's villain was the best, but that can't be the only thing you take into account when rating a movie. It basically boils down to me prefering the superheroics in the first one over the ideological battles of the second two.

Re: What are you watching? (TV/Movies)
Just finished up the first season of a series called Damages. Dear god, SO good. The misdirections, the characters, and the fact that I dunno who the hell to root for because EVERYONE appears to be a villain. Mostly I enjoy it all the more because the characters are played out SO well that I'm not SURPRISED and feel like I can guess what they are about. So when the show tries to mislead if I take a step back and think "wait... hrrrm.... ..... I don't think the character is like that" I can usually avoid falling down the rabbit hole. (I won't lie, though, I've gotten hit by a few twists.)
The only annoying thing is no one else in my family is even remotely interested in it. *Sigh* Whatever. Oh well.
