Reminds me of the time my dad brought home a random box of stuff he'd found in the dumpster. (my dad's a pro dumpster diver) Anyway, besides some books and other useful things, we found a handful of BetaMax tapes.

Now, unfortunately we were a VHS family, because ... one of those tapes was a home-movie with a handwritten label.

My boss has me cold-calling old phone numbers from our contact list to see what information is still up-to-date... I am extremely uncomfortable with this task. I could never, never, three times never be a telemarketer. Some of these people have no idea who we are and think that I'm one of those spam callers trying to "update their listings."

Hoarders kind of terrify me. I can't function in clutter and I don't like keeping things that have no use.

Ah, don't feel bad about it. For me, it simply stems from having moved around a lot while growing up. I moved literally 25 times before the age of 21. Traveling lightly became a necessity.

Although I always insisted on keeping my books.

Mm. I try to have the absolute minimal in the way of possessions. If preferable, I donate anything I really do not need, or as of recently try to sell it on Kijiji. My absolute worst enemy are gift givers... especially those who throw clutter onto me that cannot be returned for refund.
