Guild Wars is supposed to be good but it's a more of a C/CORPG (Competitive Online RPG) than a MMORPG. :/ Me and my friends have tried many free and payed MMORPGs and I can conclude you won't find something the majority likes without a monthly payment, unless it's a subcategory of online RPGs like the mentioned.
RO2, like almost any payed MMORPG has private servers. So technically any game can be "free" if you don't mind the fact people stole the hard work of the developers, altered the hosting and game variables then pushed it out for free. I think out of the legitimately free MMORPGs, my favourite is . Group play was fun, the leveling curve is a little brutal (which is expected of any Korean game) and the graphics have attention put to them. I think the only reason I stopped playing is because the game stopped working for a friend of mine.
The best MMORPG in my opinion? World of WarCraft. I say it's the best even though it's definitely not my favourite. Over all I have dropped MMORPGs as a whole. Next time I pick up an online game, I want something that isn't an MMORPG. Perhaps I should try Brawl, Bomberman Blast or Tetris DS online. :]

Guild Wars.
I still want a Gwen mini. *Sniffs sadly.* Actually having her -in- your party just isn't the same. Totally different experience. Real Gwen, she is not mini Gwen, with her lacking of the hopping and the hair thing and the flute and such. It makes me sad on the inside.
And I wanna play GW2 as well, yarf. Just sayin'.
