People joke I don't function properly without alcohol. Like, basic motor skills, reflexes, balance, etc.
We also joke I'm always drunk.

Yeah ... I read your response when I woke up and sat there confused.
...anyway, no, it's more of a "normal when drunk, wasted when sober" sort of thing. We joke that we can tell I'm sober when I don't trip/stumble over the fucking raised step connecting our rooms.
[spoiler]And, really, you're never not you no matter how much you drink. You're just less of a terrified little bitch about things. Inhibition goes down, sure, but it's not like you'll flat out do things against what you normally would (without outside force, of course). You'll just agree more readily to things you'd normally say no to.

Anyway, I drink and enjoy it. I have skyhigh tolerance (to the point that we finished a handle/half-gallon/1.75L in an evening, me drinking half of it, and was sober throughout) and ridiculous willpower to pretty much not do anything ridiculous unless I choose to do so.
Then again, I'm a pretty fucking loose person normally anyway so...[/spoiler]
Also, the pepto shot is stupid. Sure, nausea feeling it'll handle but not a damn thing for the hangover. High protein content the day before and lots of fluids is far better; high starch helps lower the vomit as well (by virtue of having less to vomit up).
