Keep in mind, ever since my eldest brother moved out I haven't done much backseat gaming. Any characters from modern games is usually "Huh?" unless I've spent time around people into those.

I hated Conker, but the first Banjo was absolutely incredible. Like Mario 64 on steroids. Mind you, I still think Mario 64's more well-balanced, but I loved the sense of mystery there was in Banjo-Kazooie. Rich environments, great music, pretty damn good gameplay.

I miss Rare's N64 days. Between Blast Corps, Banjo-Kazooie, Goldeneye, Jet Force Gemini, and Perfect Dark, it really seemed like they could do no wrong.

Miss Opposite over here has never, ever appreciated any work from Rare. Shame on me, I know. It's not like I go "Eww! Rare! I won't try that!". The rest of my family was into Rare during the N64 days so they bought everything they put out. All pretty bleh for me. Especially post SNES Donkey Kong. The thought of playing that again is gross. :[

...Although unfortunately Rare seems to have gone downhill since the N64 days. Banjo-Kazooie/Banjo-Tooie were excellent platformers, and I still consider Perfect Dark to be one of the extremely few FPS games worthy of my attention.
